About Your Money Line
What is Your Money Line? — Your Money Line is a financial wellness employee benefit program consisting of a live financial call-in helpline and an interactive online financial dashboard. Our team of certified financial experts we affectionately call our Financial Guide team leverages their expertise to provide real, confidential, personalized help to your employee Your Money Line Financial Help Line is a confidential, dedicated phone line and email address for participants to ask their toughest financial questions. Highly- trained and qualified Financial Guides personally direct the participant to the best course of action based on their questions and issues. Each interaction is summarized in an email with action steps, instructions, how-to guides, videos, and podcasts on the Dashboard. Your Money Line Financial Dashboard is an online financial wellness platform which allows users to create a private, personalized account by having them take an assessment upon logging in for the first time. This assessment personalizes each participant’s Dashboard and directs them to do certain tasks like budgeting and debt, calculating net worth and Power Percentage™, and which of the many available e-learning video courses makes the most sense for them to take first.
Will the Financial Guide Team try to sell us anything? Our Financial Guide team will not try to sell you anything. They are only in the business of providing answers and actionable financial help.
Does income factor into participation with Your Money Line? We don’t care how much you make. We care what you do with that income. People of all income levels suffer from financial wellness issues. We offer a way to learn, ask questions, and grow financially, no matter where you are starting from.
How to Use Your Money Line
What kinds of questions can we ask the Financial Guide Team? — Financial Guides can answer any of your financial questions. For example: I’m drowning in credit card debt. How do I pay it off? I need help with paying off my student loans. Can you help? I’m in collections and don’t know what to do next? Can you help me decide whether we should rent or buy? I’ve inherited money and don’t know what to do with the unexpected money. Can you help? Should I purchase term or whole life insurance? I’d like to start saving for my child’s college expenses. Where do I start? I feel like I am doing well financially, is there anything I could improve?
What is Power Percentage™ and why is it important? Your Power Percentage™ is a metric designed by Pete the Planner® to expand on net worth. Net worth only measures how many more assets you have than liabilities, but Power Percentage™ counts up all the objectively good things you are doing with your finances and gives you credit for them.
How often should we update Power Percentage™ and other dashboard tools? Ideally, your financial behavior gets better and better each month. As you pay-down more debt, add more money to your retirement plan, and adjust your budget, these should be reflected on your Dashboard tools. We encourage participants to log in and update their tools in our monthly email newsletter.
