HOOSIER BOYS STATE:
Congratulations to Will Coffman, Jack Matczak, Jonathan Reid, Jakob Pierce, Andrew Brunner, and Grant Metzier(not pictured) on being selected to participate in the prestigious Hoosier Boys State! The Hoosier Boys State program began in 1937. At the week-long event, Hoosier Boys State participants build real-world skills and leadership qualities by creating a fictional and functional state government based on Indiana’s political process. They actively worked together to establish platforms for two made-up parties, participate in elections, propose laws, negotiate bills and enforce the established legislation from the local to the state level. Hoosier Boys State alumni include Governors, US Senators, the US House of Representatives, Indiana Senators, Indiana Representatives, Indiana Supreme Court Justices, and a NASA Astronaut, to name a few.
